The CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum 2012: At the Heart of Global Growth took place on Monday, 18 June 2012 at the Shangri-La, Singapore attracting nearly 250 speakers, delegates and media from across the Asia-Pacific and globally.
Recent headlines demonstrated the complexity of the satellite sector in Asia. From India’s retroactive satellite tax plan and the search for additional frequencies for mobile IMT systems outlined at the recent World Radiocommunication Conference to the impending digitisation of Indian cable TV systems and the growth of DTH in other emerging markets, never before has the need for information and knowledge been so important.
