New Zealand:Advertising revenue up across all media

Advertising revenue across all main media in NZ was $2.18bn last year, up from $2.14bn in 2010 but still well below the heights reached in 2008. That is according to the NZ Advertising Standards Authority, which aggregates turnover from TV, newspapers, interactive media, radio, magazines, outdoor, unaddressed mail, addressed mail, and cinema. New Zealand suffered a serious of catastrophic natural disasters around a year ago which decimated ad revenue. There now appears to be a turnaround happening, with television revenue totalling$618m, up from $607m the previous year. Newspaper revenue fell, from $627m in 2010 to $582m.Online grew from $257m to $328m. Outdoor also rose from $70m to $83m.Radio grew marginally, from $241mto$247m.Magazines fell from $219m to $209m.  Cinema stayed flat on $7m.
