New Lifestyle Series Commissioned for TLC International

The U.K. outfit betty, which was acquired by Discovery Communications last year, has received the greenlight for two new lifestyle series that will air on TLC across EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America: Taste Offand Ultimate Shopper

The two series were commissioned by Julian Bellamy, the head of production and development at Discovery Networks International (DNI). The 8x30-minute Taste Off follows self-taught British chef, restaurateur and author Aaron Craze as vies against homegrown food heroes around the world—including Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia and Australia—in prepping beloved national dishes. Each episode of the 7x1-hour Ultimate Shopper pits four fashionistas head-to-head in a series of three style-based challenges to be judged by a panel of experts.
