Olympics On Free TV: Do Advertisers Care?

Hong Kong (July 11, 2012) - Hong Kong has been reassured the London Olympics will be on free television but how much of a difference will it make for advertisers?

Timothy Fok, president of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, said he spoke with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and was told that there will "definitely be broadcasts" on free-to-air stations.

Fok said details will be revealed in the next few days.

With only two weeks until the London Olympics, MediaCom Hong Kong's managing director Cecilia Chan said there may be just enough time for advertisers to make adjustments to their media plans if they wish to leverage on the games.
