Asia Pacific marketing budgets track above global trends

Marketers across the world are continuing to slash their budgets although Asia Pacific and America are bucking the trend.

Unsurprisingly Europe is acting as a drag on global budgets in the monthly Warc survey, dropping by 1.8 points to 42.3, showing a significant retraction.

However, budgets across the Asia Pacific region are actually up modestly at 50.8, whilst the Americas continues to show strength, with a 52.3 rating.

A score of more than 60 shows strong growth, 50 is neutral, and under 40 is rapid decline.

The overall global score is 47.5, up slightly from 47.3 in June.

However, the score when recruitment and trading conditions are added into the mix is at its lowest since November 2011, at 51.3, the third month this number has dropped.

This again is weighed down by Europe, with Asia Pacific growing with 53 points, and the Americas again by 56.2.
