Fox TV has teamed up with Twitter

Fox TV has teamed up with Twitter to air the season premiere of one of its shows, Raising Hope, in its entirety, a week before its broadcast date.

The first episode of the third season of Raising Hope is available now until 27 September, and it will be shown on TV for the first time on 2 October.

Although the music industry has used this tactic before - a Jennifer Lopez music video was available only through the social networking site, and Dutch DJ Tiesto has broadcast an entire gig live - this is perhaps the first time American television has decided to do something like this on Twitter.

Reportedly, Twitter is looking towards Hollywood to fill its vacant board position. At this point, it is being speculated that ex-News Corp man Peter Chernin is in the frame for the slot left by Mike McCue who left earlier this year.
