TrueVisions Thailand beefs up content

TrueVisions, the country's leading pay-TV operator, has set aside 1 billion baht to enhance and add content without fees, seeking to retain existing customers after English Premier League (EPL) rights expire next month.

Managing director Anat Mekpaiboonwattana said the company will run its business on five key strategies this year.

First, it will add six high-definition and 11 standard-definition channels, chiefly sports and entertainment content, in different packages.

The six HD channels are Motorvision, Outdoor, NBA TV, HBO Signature, HBO Hits and H2.

The 11 SD channels are H+, Channel L, Activ TV, Block A, Sky Theater, Channel 6, Sun Channel, SME Channel, Li, Disney Junior and Disney Thailand.

Each premium customer will automatically get free HD and SD channels.

Platinum package members will now get 23 HD and 119 SD channels, while gold package members will get 16 HD and 107 SD channels.
