Celestial Tiger adds to streak

Asian broadcaster and distributor Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has shuffled its exec pack with four new appointments, including a head of distribution.

CTE, which was formed as a joint-venture between Lionsgate, Celestial Pictures and US-based investment firm Saban Media Group, has named Annie Yim as its director of content sales and distribution.

She will be responsible for the licensing of Lionsgate’s TV content as well as its library of feature films in China and South Korea. Yim previously worked at Celestial Pictures as director of distribution, and also spent 12 years at Sony Pictures Television, based in Hong Kong.

Simon Ng joins as director of corporate finance and business development and is charged with developing and evaluating new business initiatives. He joins from Barclays’ consumer and retail investment banking division in Hong Kong, where he served as assistant VP. Both Yim and Ng will report to Ed Stansfield, chief financial officer and senior VP of business development.

Elsewhere Nadia Hwang will become VP of advertising sales across Asia, having most recently worked at Turner International Asia Pacific, while Shirley Cheong joins as director of marketing for channel brands KIX and Thrill.
