Qualcomm’s MediaFLO technology was designed specifically to efficiently and economically broadcast multimedia content to millions of mobile users simultaneously. In designing MediaFLO technology, Qualcomm has effectively addressed key challenges involved in the delivery of multimedia content to mass consumers. Unencumbered by legacy terrestrial or satellite delivery formats, MediaFLO offers better performance for mobility and spectral efficiency with minimal power consumption. This paper provides a brief overview of MediaFLO and its key air interface characteristics.
