EUTELSAT 8 West B launch success

Kourou, Paris, 21 August 2015 – Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL) announces that its EUTELSAT 8 West B satellite was successfully launched into orbit by an Ariane 5 rocket on August 20 at 20.34 UTC (17.34 in Kourou). Partial deployment of the solar panels of the 5.8 tonne satellite was completed within four hours of separation. This manoeuvre will be followed in the coming five days by three firings of the satellite’s apogee motor to complete the climb to geostationary orbit, as well as full deployment of the solar panels and the antennas. After a full series of performance tests EUTELSAT 8 West B will transfer to 7/8° West where it will enter full commercial service in early October.

Speaking from Kourou, Emmanuel Macron, French Minister for Economic, Industrial and Digital Affairs, said:”This new success is the finest demonstration of the excellence of French and European space industry: this is the 38th satellite to join the fleet of Eutelsat, the French champion and Europe’s leading satellite operator. Hosting Ku-band and C-band payloads

EUTELSAT 8 West B is equipped with 40 physical Ku-band transponders* designed primarily to serve Direct-to-Home TV markets in North Africa and the Middle East to increase capacity and in-orbit security at the premium 7/8°West video neighbourhood. It will also introduce a C-band mission, with 10 physical transponders* connected to footprints covering the African continent and reaching west to South America.

Aircom Pacific Leases Multiple Transponders across AsiaSat Fleet for delivery of in-flight entertainment and connectivity services

Hong Kong, 19 August 2015 – Asia’s leading satellite operator Asia Satellite
Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (AsiaSat) has reached an agreement with in-flight entertainment
and connectivity service provider Aircom Pacific, Inc. (Aircom Pacific) for using AsiaSat’s
transponder capacity and uplinking services.

Under the agreement, Aircom Pacific will use Ka-band and Ku-band capacity on AsiaSat 7 and
AsiaSat 8 to deliver its in-flight entertainment and connectivity services for airlines flying routes
over Asia. These services include Wifi broadband Internet, streaming TV and videos, streaming
gaming, cellular connectivity, and real-time Duty Free shopping and travel services, enabling
passengers to enjoy more comprehensive entertainment options during their flight while staying
connected to their work and social networks at all times.

Completion of Discloseable Transaction in relation to the Acquisition of The Entire Issued Share Capital of Ricco Media Investments Limited Involving The Issue of Consideration Shares under the General Mandate

The Board is pleased to announce that completion of the Sale and Purchase Agreement (‘‘Completion’’) took place on 20 August 2015, and a total of 37,471,680 Consideration Shares were allotted and issued on 20 August 2015 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Sale and Purchase Agreement. As a result of the Completion, the Target Company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 10 August 2015 (‘‘Announcement’’) in
relation to the Acquisition involving the issue of Consideration Shares. Unless otherwise defined
herein, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in
the Announcement.

COMPLETION OF THE ACQUISITION

The Board is pleased to announce that the Completion took place on 20 August 2015 and a total of
37,471,680 Consideration Shares were allotted and issued to the Vendor on 20 August 2015 in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the Sale and Purchase Agreement. As a result of the
Completion, the Target Company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.

The Consideration Shares represent (i) approximately 10.86% of the issued share capital of the
Company immediately before Completion; and (ii) approximately 9.80% of the issued share capital of
the Company as enlarged by the allotment and issue of the Consideration Shares.

The Target Company is an investment holding company which indirectly holds a 75% equity interest in
Stan Lee Global Entertainment, LLC. The Target Group is engaged in the business of film
development, production and distribution and currently holds over 30 intellectual property rights for
motion picture development in the form of concept, treatment and/or film script among which 3 are
already in the development phases with a view to commence formal shooting in the next 2 years. The

Limitless, Brand New Action-Packed Drama Premiering on RTL CBS Entertainment HD

Singapore, 19 August 2015 – LIMITLESS, the highly-anticipated TV series in the US this fall, will premiere on RTL CBS Entertainment HD on 23 September, Wednesday at 9pm (8pm JKT/BKK) within 12 hours of its U.S. broadcast. Based on the feature film with the same title, LIMITLESS is an action-drama about Brian Finch who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT. The series stars Jake McDorman (“American Sniper” and “Greek”), Jennifer Carpenter (“Dexter”), Hill Harper (“CSI:NY” and “Covet Affairs”), and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (“Scarface” and “The Colour of Money”). BBC Worldwide Expands South East Asia Team

(Wednesday, 19 August, 2015, Singapore) ̶ BBC Worldwide in Asia today announced the appointment of Kenny Hau as Advertising Strategic Partnership and Development Director, SEA.

In this newly created role, Kenny is tasked with growing advertising and sponsorship revenue in the South East Asian region, planning and identifying new growth opportunities for the key channel brands for BBC Worldwide in the region.

He will work closely with BBC Worldwide’s pan-regional and global advertising sales teams, and manage local affiliate partner ad sales relationships and local sales houses, developing sponsorship packages across the non-news business and programme syndication.

NBCUniversal Takes $200 Million BuzzFeed Stake

nullNBCUniversal has made a $200 million equity investment in BuzzFeed, coming on the heels of it picking up a stake in Vox.

Consumer Products (WBCP) in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with the licensing agent for Bangladesh being Enroute International Limited.

WBCP’s portfolio in these markets will be represented by CNE, consisting of films, television series, animated programs, and more. Astro gets into e-sports, Dota 2 broadcast pulls in 1.5mil viewers

THE live broadcast of The International 2015 Dota 2 Championship (TI5) videogame tournament by pay-TV operator Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd from Aug 4-9 attracted close to 1.5 million viewers in Malaysia.

It was a commendable viewership number, especially given that it was the first time Astro had such a live broadcast and the matches took place only after 1am local time.
