(HONG KONG, 13th May 2013) ITV Choice, part of ITV Studios, has launched on HiTRON, the leading pay-TV platform in Papua New Guinea. The channel is now available as part of the HiTRON Top Shelf Pak, on channel 113.
The deal marks the first time that ITV Choice has expanded its reach to include the Pacific rim, and further extends the channels footprint in the Asia Pacific region. ITV Choice is now available in over 11 million households across 40 countries.

ITV Choice recently rebranded as part of a company wide rebrand. The channel rebrand included a change of name, from ITV Granada to ITV Choice, a new logo, and refreshed on-air idents. The rebrand aligns the channel more closely with the ITV brand globally, and better reflects the channel’s proposition as a premium broadcaster, offering first run drama and entertainment, fresh from UK schedules. It has been positively welcomed by both viewers and affiliate partners.
The HiTRON deal distribution agreement was handled by long term sales distribution partner, Multi Channels Asia.
