Celestial Tiger Entertainment Launches its First Original Production with Reality Series R U Tough Enough?

ctiger123Hong Kong, (April 6, 2015) – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), the operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced today that it is embarking on its first original production since the company’s formation in January 2012. The reality series called R U Tough Enough?(RUTE) will go into production in April and air on CTE’s action entertainment channel KIX HD (and KIX) from late May to July. The series is based on a marketing campaign and competition of the same name which KIX HD launched in 2014 in Malaysia to search for “Malaysia’s Toughest.”

“The response from viewers and the media to our tough men and women competition last year was overwhelming. We found ten great contestants with ten incredible stories of endurance, resilience and tenacity. So this year, we are bringing R U Tough Enough? back as an original production as well as a competition,” said Betty Tsui, Vice President, Programming – KIX and Thrill, Celestial Tiger Entertainment. “We think the contestants’ back stories and the final showdown itself will make a compelling and highly entertaining show.”

SES shareholders hold Annual General Meeting

ses123Luxembourg, 2 April 2015 – At their Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, shareholders of SES S.A. (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) passed all resolutions put to the meeting.

The AGM notably approved the company’s 2014 accounts and the proposed dividend of 1.18 EUR (gross) per A-share, which will be paid to shareholders and holders of SES FDRs on 22 April 2015.

Shareholders also elected Mrs. Anne-Catherine Ries and Mrs. Katrin Wehr-Seiter as new members of the Board. They respectively replace Mr. René Steichen and Prof. Dr. Miriam Meckel.

Mrs. Katrin Wehr-Seiter is a Managing Director of BIP Investment Partners SA. Before joining BIP in 2012, she served as a Principal at global private equity firm Permira (2000-2009) and as an independent strategy consultant and a Senior Advisor to Bridgepoint (2010-2012). Prior to this, she worked for Siemens AG in strategy consulting, project management and engineering from 1995 to 2000. Mrs. Wehr-Seiter serves as a Director of several non-listed corporations, as well as Sky Deutschland AG and Nanogate AG.

Mrs. Anne-Catherine Ries is Senior Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister for Media and Communications in Luxembourg with a focus on media, IT and e-commerce development strategies. Mrs. Ries has recently been appointed coordinator of the newly launched government initiative ‘Digital Lëtzebuerg’.
Mr. Romain Bausch, Chairman of the Board of SES, stated: “We welcome Anne-Catherine and Katrin to the Board of Directors of SES. Cartoon Network Amazone Aircraft Takes Off With Thai Smile

turner silver 123BANGKOK (April 2, 2015) – Cartoon Network characters have come to life onboard a specially-branded THAI Smile Airways airplane, unveiled at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport today. The Airbus A-320 is the result of an exciting partnership between the airline and Cartoon Network Amazone, near Pattaya on Thailand’s eastern seaboard, as the waterpark looks to serve up a unique treat for its guests in its first full year of operation.

This is the first aircraft of its kind anywhere in the world and will feature characters from the hit show Adventure Time both inside and outside, bringing smiles and a dose of fun for every passenger at a time when the country is celebrating Songkran and Thai New Year. The inaugural flight will take place on April 4 from Bangkok to Phuket.

The Cartoon Network-themed aircraft was presented to the public during the unveiling ceremony held at the THAI Airways’ hangar and presided over by Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports. She said: “The unique collaboration between these two companies – THAI Smile Airways and Cartoon Network Amazone – will definitely create an excitement in Thailand’s tourism industry, as well as remind everyone of the great honor for Thailand to be chosen as the first tourist destination in the world to have a Cartoon Network theme park, and to present an inviting visual for travelers to visit the waterpark and explore other tourist attractions in the country that are filled with beauty, culture and Thainess.”

Mr. Santi Chudintra, Deputy Governor for Policy and Planning, Tourism Authority of Thailand, expressed great optimism when he shared that the unique collaboration could easily support the government in welcoming some 29 million tourists annually to Thailand. “The collaboration between THAI Smile Airways and Cartoon Network Amazone is a fresh and creative strategy to promote the Thai tourism industry. There is no better time than to launch the aircraft during the upcoming Songkran festival, which is one of the main highlights on the tourism calendar that always attract people to Thailand. Successful refinancing of term loan

eut logocvs Converted-use-this-123Paris, 1st April 2015 – Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL) announces today the early refinancing of the 800 million euro bank term loan of the holding company, Eutelsat Communications S.A, expiring in December 2016.

The refinancing, arranged by a pool of nine banks*, was undertaken via the following operations:
A new term loan of 600 million euros expiring in March 2020 (with two possible extension facilities of one year each subject to lender agreement) remunerated at a EURIBOR rate plus a margin linked to the long term rating attributed to Eutelsat Communications S.A. by Standard & Poor’s (S&P);
The early reimbursement of 200 million euros, using the Group’s cash reserves which amounted to 469 million euros at 31 December 2014.

These operations enable Eutelsat to extend its debt maturity profile and will reduce financial charges by circa 15 million euros before tax on an annualized basis[1].
At the same time, the Group renegotiated a revolving credit facility of 200 million euros for a duration of five years with two possible extension facilities of one year each subject to lender agreement, replacing the previous facility of the same amount, expiring in December 2016.

BBC World News now in HD across Europe via Astra 19.2e

ses123Luxembourg, 1 April 2015 – SES S.A. (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) today announced that BBC Global News Ltd has signed a long-term agreement to broadcast its international news channel free-to-air in High Definition (HD) on ASTRA at 19.2 degrees East.
The channel, an HD version of BBC World News in English, will be broadcast at 19.2 degrees East starting on April 1st on a multiplex operated and uplinked by SES from its headquarters in Betzdorf, Luxembourg.

SES reports that over 47 million, some 52% of European satellite homes, are now watching television in HD, more than half of which are served by the satellites at the 19.2 degrees East orbital position. In 2014, SES broadcast over 1,800 HD channels globally, and more than 500 in Europe.

After England thrashed Lithuania 4-0 on Friday in the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying rounds, Wayne Rooney is only within two goals of Sir Bobby Charlton’s England record of 49. He may create history tomorrow morning in the Italy vs England friendly at Juventus Stadium, Turin which will be shown live on Eurosport at 2:45 a.m. (KUL/SIN/HKG) and 1.45 a.m. (BKK/JKT).
