Zee TV Launches Inaugural Dance Singapore Dance Competition and Reality Show

zee 123Singapore, 12 February 2015: Zee TV, the flagship channel of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., today announced the launch of a reality dance competition, Dance Singapore Dance. The open category competition is open to all residents of Singapore aged 16 and above, and aims to provide a platform for amateur and experienced dancers to showcase their talent. Pre-registration for the show begins today on www.zeetelevisionasia.com/dsd and auditions will take place on 14 March 2015 at the Management Development Institute of Singapore’s (MDIS) campus (Queenstown).

After the audition process, 15 participants will be shortlisted by an international panel of judges. The top 15 will then get to train with some of the industry’s best choreographers and their performances will be featured on the Dance Singapore Dance show on Zee TV which will be broadcasted across 18 countries. The top three winners of the competition stand to win cash prizes.

Dance Singapore Dance is a localised version of Dance India Dance which made its debut in 2009. Since then, the show has seen about 90,000 participants over its past four editions. Winners from past editions of the competition have catapulted to fame with many of them gaining film experience and sponsorships after the show. Dancers on the show come from different backgrounds and cultures, and represent different genres, from Bollywood to contemporary to classical dance.

Dance Singapore Dance will premiere on Zee TV (StarHub TV Channel 125), Sensasi (StarHub TV Channel 123) and Zee Tamizh (StarHub TV Channel 138) in the second quarter of 2015.
