Admen bait MOUSE Awards 2009

Singapore/ Hong Kong – January 21, 2009 – Microsoft Advertising today announced the appointment of three leading advertising directors in the region to the MOUSE Awards jury. Judges from Asia include: Naoki Ito, Creative Director at GT Japan; Prasoon Joshi, Executive Director of McCann World Group India and Regional Executive Creative Director Asia Pacific; and Jason Chan, Art Director from Kinetic Singapore. These judges will join an international jury of 17 judges from 11 countries that will, for the first time, review entries from Asia Pacific. The prestigious panel are to evaluate the best online advertising campaigns featured on the Microsoft Advertising Network at the company’s fifth annual creative advertising awards.

The MOUSE Awards are Microsoft Advertising’s annual creative advertising awards and are an established fixture in the online advertising industry’s calendar. The MOUSE Awards celebrates the best online advertising that has been featured on the Microsoft Advertising network over from the past 12 months. The MOUSE Awards highlight the very best creative work on the Internet, and last year’s Grand Prix winner went on to scoop ‘Interactive Agency of the Year’ at the Cyber Lions in Cannes. Entries are judged on the strength of their creativity, innovation and strategic approach and Microsoft will accept entries from any creative, media agency or sole operator that ran a campaign on the Microsoft Advertising Network. About the MOUSE Awards
The MOUSE Awards celebrate the best online advertising that has been featured on the Microsoft Advertising network. There are five distinct categories: Charity; NGOs & Public Services; Consumer Goods / FMCG; Financial Services; Telecoms, Media & Entertainment; and Transport and Travel (including Automotive). To enter, campaigns must have run on the extended Microsoft Advertising Network between 1st March 2008 to 28th February 2009 on one of the following platforms: the MSN portals, Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces, Offline Online or Microsites.

Winners of the MOUSE Awards 2009 will receive a cash prize of up to £2,000, entry into the coveted Cyber Lions and be taken to the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in June 2009 as guests of Microsoft Advertising. A Grand Prix will also be awarded to the entry judged to have made the best use of the Microsoft Advertising Network and there is a Special Award for Gaming. The closing date for entries to the MOUSE Awards is 1st March 2009, with judging taking place on 24th April 2009.
