(Singapore, 6 August 2013) – The Pawn Stars are coming to Singapore August 24-27th. Singapore is the third stop in father and son duo Rick and Corey Harrison’s first trip to Asia. Other destinations include Tokyo, Manila, Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi.
A consumer event will be held at Star Vista on 25 August, Sunday from 12pm, where fans can meet and interact with the Pawn Stars in person as they share more about the series and their passion for the pawning business. The Pawn Stars will also be on the lookout for great buys as they tour around some of the iconic sites of Singapore and sample the world famous culinary treats.
HISTORY’s Pawn Stars features a family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas, where three generations of men from the Harrison family; Grandfather Richard, son Rick, grandson Corey; and their friend Chumlee, jointly run the world famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rick Harrison, 48, has been in the pawn business for 28 years and is an expert when it comes to spotting anything fake or stolen; and Corey Harrison, 30, began working at the pawnshop when he was nine and is expertly trained in the art of appraisal.
The series is best known and loved for the Harrison’s highly hilarious antics on-screen, with clashing and camaraderie every step of the way. This family lives and breathes the pawning business, using their sharp-eyed skills to carefully assess the value of items their colorful customers bring in, objects ranging from the obscure to the truly historic.
As home to the Pawn Stars, HISTORY premieres Season 9 (starting 22 July) and Season 10 – delivering ALL-NEW Pawn Stars episodes every Monday at 10pm for the remainder of 2013!
